Los Angeles' plan to add a third watering day moves ahead Print E-mail

Angelenos will be allowed to water their lawns one extra day per week under new rules given preliminary approval Wednesday in an effort to ease pressure on the city's aging pipes.

Distraction burglars come into the area and prey on elderly victims, by befriending them, gaining their trust and then stealing from them. Usually, they are posing as a utility worker, a contractor or a person in distress. Immediately report suspicious persons in you area.

Article 5.0.3 of our CC&Rs states “No hedge within the (front) setback area of any house shall have a height greater than three (3) feet above the ground.” Elsewhere, hedges may be 6 feet in height.

Budget Bill Preserves L.A. VA Site Print E-mail

The formal end of a controversial plan to develop the federal Veterans Administration property in West L.A. came on Wednesday as President George Bush signed into law a budget bill containing a ban on commercial development of the site.

Mansionazation Ordinance 7/13/07 Print E-mail
The proposed Baseline Mansionization Ordinance (CPC-2007-106-CA) was recommended for approval with some amendments at the June 28th meeting by the City Planning Commission to the City Council. Attached to this email is a copy of the Commission Determination Letter that includes the proposed ordinance with the amendments mentioned above.
