The Department of City Planning is kicking off a series of community meetings for the Interim Control Ordinances (ICO) areas across the City to address the issues confronting single-family neighborhoods.
Expo Update
The second phase of the Expo Line will officially open to Palms, West Los Angeles and Santa Monica on Friday, May 20, Metro CEO Phil Washington announced on Thursday. This will be the first passenger rail transit service to the far Westside since Pacific Electric streetcars stopped running to Santa Monica in 1953.
The City School – Update
The folks behind the charter school that had been proposed for the Northeast corner of Motor at National have decided to look elsewhere to site their school following public opposition to the school’s traffic study and the likely impact on traffic in our neighborhood.
Survival Kits for CCCHA Members
In our ongoing effort to sustain a safe neighborhood, we wish to ensure that all of our neighbors are prepared for a natural disaster, such as an earthquake or other disaster that may impact the community as a whole. Toward that end, the CCCHA Board has arranged to present to each of you an Emergency Survival Kit.

If you happen to live or drive through Cheviot Hills, you’ll likely witness filming or movie making in action. While some residents find it a hassle to navigate through the jungle of oversized trailers, lights, actors and crew-members, filming here in Cheviot Hills has been going on since the origins of Cheviot Hills itself.
